European Winner Show 2026 - Impressions

A big thank you to all the volunteers—without you, an event like this wouldn't be possible!

Day 1 - Setup

As happens every year, there was great joy in reuniting and getting to know one another - especially among those who had arrived early to help with the setup. We would like to thank club Oberhausen-Rheinhausen Dog Lovers' Club for once again making their excellent grounds available to us and for providing delicious catering throughout the event. The day featured tasty cake, coffee, and cold drinks, followed in the evening by a delicious communal dinner to which our club invited all the volunteers.

Day 2 – Completion & Seminars & Evening Together

The following day was marked by the completion of the site and the first events, followed by a relaxed evening together.

We thank Lothar Köchlin, assisted by his niece, for a truly great Rally Obedience training session, during which we all learned a lot and had plenty of fun.

Our this years judge, Carolyn Lenhart (USA), gave us many interesting tips on coat care and proper trimming during the Grooming Seminar.

At the subsequent Handling Seminar, Carolyn Lenhart provided valuable insights and tips for showing in the ring, covering both theory and practice with one's own dog.

Afterwards, we met at the restaurant for a lovely, cozy get-together, with delicious food and drinks.

Day 3 – Preparations & Dog Show & Dismantling

On show day, the final preparations began early in the morning, allowing us to start admitting participants promptly at 9 a.m. and begin the show at 10 a.m.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our judge, Carolyn Lenhart from the AKC (American Kennel Club), for her excellent judging. She explained her decision-making process for every class, allowing everyone to gain lots of knowledge.

Thank you for the wonderful photos, especially to Gerda Huvers, with additional ones from Sigrid Esslinger, Claudia Gebhard and Beate Rosenbach.
