Dog Shows
Dog Shows
We regularly host Dog Shows with respectable and well recognized AKC-judes from the USA, judging competently in compliance with the Original American Breeding Standard of the AKC (American Kennel Club). Usually on the last Sunday of August, with the kind report of Royal Canin.
The next Dog Show is planned for August 30, 2026. More information will follow soon.

Important for all Visitors & Participants to know!
Every dog (also visitor dogs) must carry its vaccination certificate with valid rabies vaccination (at least 21 days and not be longer than 1-3 years, depending on the specitications of the vaccine manufacturer, which must be deposited in the vaccination certificate), to get access! And all dogs on the Show area must have a liability insurance!
During the public event, photos will be taken, which will later be made public, e.g. on our club homepage and Social Media. The Show takes place outside. Please bring your own seating and shelter against to much sun and rain. The local association of the Hundefreunde Oberhausen-Rheinhausen e.V. provides food and drinks.

Judge & Judging
This year we are honored to welcome Joe Reno as an AKC judge (American Kennel Club). His famous breeding kennel "Hi Crest Collies" is probably familiar to everyone.
It will be judged according to the Original American Breed Standard of the AKC (American Kennel Club). Rough and Smooths Collies will be judged. By to few registrations in single classes and/or to streamline the programm, there may be a merging of neighbouring age-classes and different hair lengths. Should there be many reports in the Open Class, we will for the first time divide the open class (at least by the Roughs) after color strokes (and also possible according to age): Open Sable - for all sable-colored Collies incl. Sable Merle, Open Trico - for all tricolor-colored Collies incl. Blue Merle, Open White - for all White Collies

Program Schedule
We want to start judging on August 31th, 2025 at 10 a.m., starting the the youngest participants. Entrance is from 9 a.m.. After judging all Collies under 18 months, we keep our fingers crossed for our youngest two-legged participants in the Junior Handling. We continue with judging the Collies from 18 months onwards. This is followed by the Group Competitions and the Final Rings, when it comes to the titles European (Junior) Winner and BOB & BOS. The winner of the Show (BISS) will then be chosen. We will add a lunch break in due course. The local club Hundefreunde Oberhausen-Rheinhausen e.V. will provide us with delicious food and drinks throughout the entire Show at fair prices in the adjacent area.
